What Men Want: 5 Things Men Are Genuinely Looking For In A Woman
There are many misconceptions that surround men these days and, for many women, men are and always will be a mystery.
There is one daunting question that women have been asking themselves for centuries: what do men want? More specifically, what is it that men truly want from their partner?
Some may say that everything comes down to sex and that physical interaction is a primordial need for them, while other women tend to look at the big picture and realize that men want a lot more than that: they want respect and admiration, they want somebody they can truly trust.
Here are five of the things men actually want from women, things that have absolutely nothing to do with sex:
1. They Want Somebody Who Understands Them
Sex has become very easy to find these days, and everybody can get it without too much effort. However, finding a partner who truly understands you and who is on the same wavelength as you are, can turn out to be a bit more challenging.
Just like women, men also want a partner, a teammate, somebody they feel emotionally and intellectually connected with. Men want a partner they can trust, somebody in front of whom they can be vulnerable and who makes them feel loved.
2. Men Want To Feel Needed
This actually applies to both sexes, as everybody has the need of being appreciated and cared about. We love people who make us feel that they need us in order to be happy and fulfilled, and men are certainly no exception to that rule.
Men love women who need them for various tasks, be it for changing the car oil, replacing a light bulb, or something more romantic. Be careful though, as there is a very thin line between showing that you could use a helping hand and coming off as very needy and dependent, which is bothersome for most men!
3. Men Want A Woman Who Makes Them Feel Admired And Respected
We are all too familiar with the strong ego men tend to have these days, an ego that does need a woman’s attention every now and then. If there is one thing men want more than sex, that is respect and admiration.
They want to be successful. They want to feel like they are everything their partner could possibly wish for. Men want a partner who loves them for their qualities and who does not emphasize on their flaws or shortcomings too much.
4. They Want To Feel Like They Are Somebody’s Top Priority
There is a saying that goes like this: never make somebody a priority if you are only an option to them. Same applies to men: men do not want to be treated as options, they want to feel like they are the top priority in their partner’s life, and sometimes this involves constant reassurance.
5. They Want To Feel Encouraged And Supported
Last, but not least, men count on their partner to get the support and encouragement they so much need. They want somebody they can talk to, a partner who knows when to talk and when to listen.
A few words of encouragement from somebody who is truly dear to their heart can take them a very long way!
